Wine of the Week – Rosso di Montepulciano, Podere L’Berne 2011

This Montepulciano from Cervognano, 350 meters above sea level, is 93%  Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile), 5% Mammolo, and 2% Colorinom made with the same grapes as Vino Nobile butImage aged less  and bottled at an earlier stage. The wine is deep ruby red, almost a deep purple, with good balance, fruit and tannins. Serve with pastas with meat sauce.
