What’s Brewin’ – Baxter Brewing Co. Stowaway IPA

Up north in Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn, Baxter Brewing Co. is making flavorful, creative craft beers in six-packs and on draught, with distribution in Maine and Massachusetts. They chose to can the beers, calling cans better for the environment and “infinitely recyclable.” Additionally, cans do not let UV light in as bottles may, so are better for keeping beer fresh. Lastly, “cans go where glass cannot.” Baxter is said to be the first craft brewery in New England to offer its whole line in cans.
The Stowaway IPA with bold and complex flavors has what Baxter calls “a solid malt backbone and assertive hop profile.” It’s clean, crisp, and hoppy. Stowaway is intense, complex and full-bodied with a dry finish, a creamy head and hop finish of citrus, pine and grapefruit
