Way before the days when craft brewers were rarities, Cambridge Brewing Co.’s Darryl Goss, Head Brewer, was making Tripel Threat. The Belgian style ale is said to have been the first of its kind ever brewed in the U.S. The spicy yeast is balanced by notes of citrus and malt.
The 1 pint, 6 fl. oz. bottles bear blue motorcycle, a tribute to the cycle of late brewmaster Goss, who died in 2012. A portion of the proceeds from sales of Tripel Threat benefit and help promote research to cure ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Since 1989, Cambridge Brewing has been leading the way in crafting experimental, classic and unique beers.Tripel Threat pays homage to Belgian and Dutch monks who created strong, beautiful brews. This one has been winning awards since its first appearance in Cambridge, MA’s Kendall Square. It is golden and rich in flavors you’ll want to explore again and again. Craft brewing has become an every day affair across America since ’89 when CBC began, and their list of beers has grown and grown. After tasting Tripel Threat, we suspect they’re all worth tasting!
