Chefs demos announced for New England Food Show

Chef demos are always a crowd-drawer at the New England Food Show and this year, a number of chefs from across New England will participate in the event at BCEC March 16- 18.
On Sunday, Chef Nicole Barreira of Great New NH Restaurants, Manchester, NH and the New Hampshire Restaurant Association, will offer a Barista Demonstration sponsored by New England Coffee at 12:15. She’ll be followed by a culinary demo from Chef Melissa Bouchard of DiMillo’s on the Water, Portland, ME at 3 p.m. At 4, an as yet unannounced mixologist will take the stage.
Monday kicks off with Chef Martin Lyons of XO Café, Providence, RI presenting the Barista Demo sponsored by George Howell Coffee Company. He’s followed by the 3:15 p.m. Culinary Cookoff – a first time annual event at the Show with three chefs preparing three savory courses with a secret ingredient picked by one of the celebrity judges. Chefs are Tim Maslow, Ribelle, Brookline, MA; Steve “Nookie” Postal, Commonwealth, Cambridge, MA and Brendan Pelley, Zebra’s Bistro, Medfield, MA. The event is sponsored by Costa Fruit & Produce Co. and Paul W. Marks Co. Inc.
Starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday will be a Morning Smoothies/Juice Demo. At 11:30 a.m., Chef Robert Barral, Café Provence and Vermont Chamber of Commerce will offer the final culinary demonstration.
