In Boston’s Seaport District, Trillium Brewing at 369 Congress St. released a new barrel aged Wakerobin red rye farmhouse ale this week. The new ale was aged in almond liqueur casks from Grand Ten Distilling for three months. The creamy ale is 7.4 percent ABV and has a malt profile with “rumminess” on the finish from turbinado sugar.
Only available from the brewery, there is a two bottle (375ml) per person limit to enable more people to have the opportunity to try it. The tasting room is open from 4 to 7:30 Thurs., noon to 7:30 Fri., and Sat. from noon to 6 p.m. Go to http://www.trilliumbrewing.com for more information.
