From Bar Harbor, ME comes this rich, inky full-bodied brew, Cadillac Mountain Stout. It’s been a winner since it was first releasd in 1990, and in 1995 when it was named World Champion Dry Stout by Men’s Journal. Like Cadillac Mountain in Maine’s Acadia National Park, it has a beauty and a heritage all its own. Made in the style of an Irish dry stout such as Guinness, it has a velvety chocolate character and a creamy head. Orginally created by Bar Harbor Brewing Company, it is now owned by Atlantic Brewing. The beer is 7% ABV and contains Pilgrim and Willamette hops, Nottingham yeast and five different malts including Chocolate. The brew recently received 94 out of 100 points from Beer Advocate. For us, it was love at first sip when we tasted it recently at State Park in Cambridge, MA.
