BOSTON – Stavis Seafoods will anchor a major new seafood facility to be built on Parcel 5 of the Massport Marine Terminal, with construction to begin this Fall and be completed in Sept., 2018.
Making the announcement at SENA in Boston this week, the company noted the new facility will combine all its Boston area sites in one location that will measure 90,000 sq. ft.
The building is expected to be the most technologically advanced, environmentally sound seafood processing facility in the state. The anchor tenant plans to include a Cascade Refrigeration System, Seafood Source reports.
“This new space allows us to do that,” says CEO and Director of Sales Richard Stavis. “Moving all our Boston-area facilities into one location has been a long-term goal for us. It was necessary in order to meet our customers’ ever-expanding needs, so to do it in such an advanced efficient building in Boston is a home run for our company and Marine Park.”
