NEW YORK – Starbuck reportedly plans its largest store in the world in a 20,000 sq. ft; location on the ground level of 61 Ninth Ave. in Manhattan, opening in 2018, according to Chairman and Chief Executive Howard Schultz.
NY foodservice consultant Arlene Spiegel, unaffiliated with the project calls the plan a way to “reinforce their dominance as a premium supplier.” Planned to open on two levels, the store, on the border of Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, will be in a building designed by Rafael Viñoly.
