What’s newly opened or opening soon in Boston
BOSTON – Eataly‘s top floor restaurant, Terra, opened this week, bringing a garden-like dining experience surrounded by windows to the sky and inspired by “earth and fire” with chefs cooking on grills over fire pits. The fare is earthy and simple with “things with pasta” and “things with meat,” small plates and more from Chef de Cuisine Dan Bazzinotti and Executive Chef Jason Neve. Barrel aged beers, Italian wines and an ever-changing cocktail list complete the experience.
New this week is B3 in the Back Bay with Southern fare, live music from Berklee College of Music, and curated art installations, along with dinner from a Southern chef whose grilled oysters are not to be missed. B3, whose name stands for Back Bay Beats, also features live music.
Coming soon is Anoush’ella: Saj Kitchen, a casual Eastern Mediterranean restaurant whose name means “may it be sweet.” It is owned by Raffi and Nina Festekjian whose cuisine draws on their Armenian-Lebanese heritage. Wraps called m’anoush are a featured dish, cooked on a convex metal griddle. It will be in the South End at Washington and West Newton Streets.
One of the hottest new places to open in Boston this year, Frenchie, from Sandrine Rossi and Loic Le Garrec offers a comfortable, casual wine bar with delicious French fare and a beautiful solarium. Chef Alex Falconer, previously at Josephine, serves up cuisine with international touches and the wine list includes wines from Rossi’s mother, a French winemaker. It’s a special neighborhood place that’s been discovered quickly so try to arrive early!
