Cambridge restaurant ordered to stop cooking with wood & charcoal
CAMBRIDGE, MA – Shepard in Harvard Square was reportedly ordered by the city to cease cooking with wood and charcoal, following complaints from nearby neighbors. The restaurant has spent $100,000 to reduce smoke from its vents, according to a published report that noted that city councilors are considering banning wood-fired grills, a move that would impact others including Smoke Shop and Felipe’s Taqueria.

Brazilian homestyle restaurant now open Sundays in Montclair, NJ
MONTCLAIR, NJ – Samba Montclair, a Brazilizian homestyle restaurant, will now offer brunch Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., with the dinner menu available from noon to 8. Executive Chef/Owner Ilson Goncalves explains that: “Brazilians don’t eat the traditional American breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and so on. So I’ve added classic Brazilian touches to familiar foods, to make them even more delicious and healthy.”
