Wine of the Week – Domaine Paul Buisse Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, 2013

From hillsides overlooking the Loire, Paul Buisse Winery produces this 100% Sauvignon Blanc, fruity and fresh, with scents of white blossoms and beeswax. Round and full-bodied, it reflects the winery’s respect for tradition and use of contemporary winemaking techniques.

This is the fourth generation to create wines from the clay and limestone soil here, celebrating 100 years. The wine is dry, lively, fruit-forward and fresh, and domaine has been called one of the best in the Touraine appellation. It is available from Cape Classics, www.capeclassics.com.
