Wine of the Week – Brancott Estate Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc, 2013

Brancott’s new Flight Song line of wines offers 20 percent less alcohol and fewer calories for a lighter, yet still extremely flavorful drinking experience. Grapes come from selected vineyards and the winemakers combine their experience with research to create this wine range described as “typically Marlborough.” True to its style, the initial ’12 vintage won a Gold Medal at the New Zealand International Wine Show.
This vintage offers fruity notes such as pink grapefruit and passion fruit but it’s the well balanced lemon acidity that makes it a winner.
